Privacy Policy

TheeLuxeHub (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a blog about life, money, health and ideas, run from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it and the choices you have. You can reach us any time through our Contact page.

We only collect what we need to run the site:

• Account details: your full name, username and email address when you sign up. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Things you do on the site: comments and replies you post (including the name and optional email you enter), likes on comments and the articles you save as favourites.
• Newsletter: the email address you give us when you subscribe.
• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message.
• Technical information: basic device and connection details that our hosting and infrastructure providers record automatically, and a sign-in session stored in your browser.

We do not sell your personal information.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To show your comments and to save your favourites.
• To send you the newsletter, which you can stop at any time.
• To reply to messages you send us.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We use trusted providers to run the site, and they process information on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and our database), Google Sign-In, Cloudinary (image hosting) and our web hosting provider. These providers have their own privacy policies and may process data outside Nigeria.

Links to other sites, such as our profile on X, are not covered by this policy. Please read their policies before sharing information there.

We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings, but you may need to sign in again.

We keep account information for as long as your account exists. Comments, newsletter sign-ups and contact messages are kept until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them.

Under applicable data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop using it for the newsletter. To do this, contact us through the Contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take care to reduce the risks.

TheeLuxeHub is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
